Budget - The Trudeau Liberal government has rolled out its first Federal budget. Minister of Finance, and Bay Street darling, Bill Morneau has brought down a torrent of red ink. Despite the "sky is falling" script from the "opposition" it is still far, far below the roughly $50 Billion deficit brought down by supposed miracle man Jim Flaherty not so long ago. Overall the budget sounds relatively good, but what does it really bring? And for who, and when? The devil is in the details, if you can find them.
Bud - Where is that highly touted campaign promise about the legalization of marijuana? Did someone bogart a spliff and forget to mention it was a supposed priority? Parliamentary Secretary to the Minister of Justice Bill Blair, formerly known as Kommandant of the Toronto G20 debacle, has been put in charge of the issue. Gnarly, dude. How long until this promise becomes reality? And at what cost to Canada's international agreements regarding the "War on Drugs"?
The Bastards - Is the picture of the MP for Calgary-Heritage on milk cartons yet? Not that we're complaining about the absence of Emperor on our screens, but does Florida have a riding in the House?
